Our horses

Colorado as a 12 year old mare. She has had a difficult early life and was taken in by the RSPCA for rehoming. She's the sweetest soul who enjoys being groomed and being with people. She is very food orientated, perhaps due to her history, and will bang her door to let us know when she's out of hay!  

Larry is a 16 year old gelding. He's the nicest guy and is great at giving confidence. Larry likes his food and doesn't like to share! So he can be grumpy with other horses if he thinks they're coming for his dinner. But with humans he's always a delight. 

Dream is a Shetland pony. She is 19 years old. Dream is a friendly soul who loves to be scratched. If you scratch her chest she will return the favour by gently scratching you back with her teeth. This is how horses groom each other. 

Bob is a 10 year old Highland pony gelding. His preferred activity is eating. Bob isn't the bravest soul and tends to need others to give him confidence when trying new activities or exploring new items. Food rewards work well as motivation! 

Sid and Sam are half brothers and best mates. They had a rough start and ended up with the RSPCA before being adopted by their loving owner who kindly loans them to us. The sweetest guys, Sid and Sam love to be groomed. Their calm, kind presence helps those who might feel nervous to relax. 

Theo is a 10 year old cob gelding. Theo can be quite an anxious horse and needs calm, quiet handling to feel confident. He is interested in people and likes to engage. He's very playful with the other ponies and particularly loves Braveheart.  

Will is a 15 year old gelding. He's a laid back guy who enjoys a quiet scratch, a massage (especially on his bum!) and an enrichment activity. His best friend is Larry but Larry does tend to boss him around a bit!  

Ginny is a 6 year old mare. Despite being one of the younger members of the team she is super sensible and very brave! She loves investigating new things and is fantastic at agility. She grows the most incredible mustache which we trim to keep under control.
