About the event
Harry Lawson's 2025 film Stepney Western was filmed from 2023-2024 and follows the stories of several young attendees at Stepney Bank Stables.
The documentary weaves together footage filmed at Stepney with archival materials including snippets from CBBC's 'The Stables' from 2004.
The film captures beautifully the relationships between young people and the horses they care for and demonstrates powerfully how precious a place Stepney bank Stables is to young people.
